Nachdem sie 1991 im Vorprogramm von Neil Young tourten, kam Dirty, was im Vergleich zu Goo um einiges härter und unbequemer wurde. Vor allem Kim Gordon schreit und röhrt um einiges mehr. Mit "Nic Fit" spielen sie einen 59sekündigen Punksong, wohl eher ein Gag, denn er passt nun gar nicht in dieses Album. Der Opener "100%", "Sugar Kane" und "Youth Against Fascism" wurden ausgekoppelt.
Noisige Klangwelten.

Zack de la Rocha (voc), Ex-Frontmann der HardCorebands Farside und Inside Out, und Tom Morello (g) sind die Masterminds, die diesem Stück Crossover ihren Stempel aufgedrückt haben. Dieses Album zählt zu den wichtigsten Alben der Neunziger überhaupt. De la Roche, Sohn eines Politaktivisten, macht das Maul auf: "Take The Power Back", "Bombtrack", "Bullet In The Head" sind allesamt politische Appelle, scharf formuliert und durchdacht. Stakkatoartiger Sprechgesang und Funkriffs [!!!] treffen auf Metalstrukturen in einem hochexplosivem Mix: Rage against 'the Machine' called U.S.A. - with all its faults.-

Gegründet in Venice Beach, Kalifornien, begannen Suicidal Tendencies als Hardcore- / Skatepunkband. Mit "How Will I Laugh..." (1988) drifteten sie ins Speedmetal-Lager ab und näherten sich einem Sound, der sowohl Thrash, Rap und hier nun auch verstärkt Pop-Elemente ("Asleep At The Wheel", "I'll Hate You Better") in sich vereinigt. Durch MTV's Headbangers Ball erreichten sie 1992 ein Massenpublikum auch jenseits des amerikanischen Undergrounds.
