Mike Kirkland hat das Handtuch geworfen - er hatte einfach keine Lust mehr auf Touring & Studiostress. Stattdessen spielt jetzt Ex-Flotsam Jetsam-Basser Troy Gregory die dicken Saiten und singt sogar auf "Brainwave".

Prove You Wrong kommt mit einer sehr guten Produktion daher, und Prong haben noch einen draufgelegt: Mal frickelige Rhythmik mit knarzigen Gitarrenriffs, dann der totaler Flow: Eine gewaltige Welle überrollt alles. Wie auf dem Vorgänger gibt es mit"Territorial Rites" auch hier ein reines Instrumental. Sehr trocken das gelungene Stranglers-Cover "Get A Grip (On Yourself)".-

Zusammenfassung der ersten Singles von Big Chief.

Der Sänger Barry Henssler war in der 2. Besetzung der Necros, mit denen er das 1987er Necros- Album "Tangled Up" aufnahm. An den Gitarren: Phil Dürr und Mark Dancey, der vorher bei Born Without A Face war und als Graphiker für alle Cover von Big Chief verantwortlich ist (Er hat übrigens auch "Badmotorfinger" von Soundgarden entworfen).

Die zweite Platte von Junkyard ist eindeutig besser produziert worden - dunstige Bikerbar-Beschallung Galore. Man verneigt sich vor Cinderella, Rose Tattoo und Aerosmith (sind auch bei Geffen unter Vertrag). Ein bischen "Exile On Main Street" und eine Prise Boogie-Woogie. Trotzdem haben Bands wie Black Crowes, D.A.D. oder L.A. Guns diesen Sound wirklich besser gemacht. Vielleicht sollten Hardcorepunks nicht ins andere Lager wechseln. Brian Baker jedenfalls ging nach der Auflösung zu Bad Religion.
